opening scene of the fashion show.

Friday 1st of June was the Dundee College Fashion Show, at which I along with other college students volunteered to model some of my fellow college student’s garments that they had made throughout the college year. I was lucky enough to have some of my own work modelled on the catwalk, All the models looked fab’ with gold leaf on their eyelids and using neutral make-up which gave them a natural look. Thumbs up guys. Photos were taken by Oliver F Urqurkursen. XD

DIY Glaxy shorts.

okay so I customised a pair of shorts which started out as jeans.First I cut off the legs.On the right hand side you can see the finished result. Now I am going to tell you how to achieve this effect on the left hand
side of the shorts.
What you will need :
old pair of shorts or jeans,
fabric paints of your choice of colour, you will need roughly 3 colours, and a white,
paint brushes,
an old peice of fabric and an iron :)

step one : choose your first colour of fabric paint, then using light stabbing motions with your paint brush, apply your first colour. I chose a metalic pink but it looks purple on black denim. Spread it out over small areas, being carefull not to use too much paint otherwise it doesn't blend in so well.

step two : apply your second colour using the same technique with your brush in different patches on the denim, still spreading out the paint , not too thick so you get some lighter patches,.I have used a matt purple here. :)

step three : use your third colour of fabric paint filling in some more of the spaces on the fabric but still leaving some fabric showing through. I have used a mattebright blue.

step four : This is when you will need your white fabric paint. You can use your paint brush to splat on small amounts of white paint to create the stars. I've also painted on some little planets :) I have also used a little silver fabric paint and glitter fabric paint just to give it a little sparkle X3, then all you need to do is let it dry and then cover it with fabric and iron it on a hot setting for about 5 mins to seal in the paint (some fabric paints vary.Read the instructions to see how to seal the paint and there you go, a funky pair of shorts XD

Intro

I would like to just take a moment to tell you what my blog is all about and what I intend to do in the future on my blog, just a wee teaser for y'all XD

I would like to focus on street fashion in Dundee and the more unusual fashions or quirky styles. I would also like to put some DIY ideas and tips for customising your old clothes and also show you some things I have made myself and some of my college work just to give you a wee idea of what I've been up to.  :3

Enjoy x
